Even as a trainer, I have days I’d rather do anything else than work out. Yes, really. The lead-up to the workout is often the hardest part. It’s not a lack of knowledge. It’s not discipline. It’s just life.
But here’s the truth:
99% of the time, I’m glad I did something. (My wife can verify I’m not always motivated)
So how do I stay consistent when motivation takes a hike?
Simple, really:
-
I remind myself how I’ll feel after. Never once have I regretted moving. I do, however, regret not moving.
-
I make it social. Workout with a friend, family or a friendly trainer who knows how to meet you where you are (yes, that’s me).
-
I turn it into a “play day.” Go shoot hoops. Ride a bike. Play with the kids. Do a few mobility drills. Any activity counts.
The point is, workouts don’t have to feel like punishment. They don’t have to be long or perfect or part of a six-week program with a name like “Shredded for the Summer.”
They just need to happen.
We believe in training that fits, not frustrates.
We build workouts around your life, not the other way around.
If you’ve been out of the groove or feel like every workout plan is just another stressor, let’s talk. The REDEFINE way is built around you.
Simple. Effective. Sustainable.
